Someone has sent you a programme
It arrives as an attachment. An .mpp from the client's project manager, a Primavera P6 .xer from the main contractor's planner, an Asta Powerproject .pp from a subcontractor. And you don't have the software to open it.
The usual answer is to ask for a PDF and wait. By the time it arrives, the programme has often moved on.

What it opens
Microsoft Project: .mpp, .mpx and Project XML (.xml)
Primavera P6: .xer and .pmxml
Asta Powerproject: .pp and .ppx
Files up to 8 MB. A large file takes a few seconds.
How it works

See the programme: the bar chart and the task list, on the file's own dates and links. Switch between week, month, quarter or the whole job on one screen.
Print it, or save it as a PDF for the site meeting.
It works in any up-to-date browser, on a PC or a Mac. There is nothing to install.
What happens to your file
Your file is read and thrown away straight away.
What it shows is held for 30 minutes, so you can look and print, then it is forgotten.
Otherwise it is never saved, and the file's name is not recorded.
If a file won't open, the viewer offers to send it to us so we can work out why. The file is kept only if you press that button, and for no more than three days. If you don't, we note only that a file failed and why: no file name, and nothing from inside the file.
There is no sign-up, no email address and no download.
Common questions
Do I need Microsoft Project, Primavera or Asta?
No. The viewer reads the file itself.
Can I change the programme?
No. The viewer is read-only and shows the file exactly as it is. To change it, bring the file into Clarity Planner (below).
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no card.
What if the file is bigger than 8 MB?
Ask for the programme without attachments or embedded objects, or open it in Clarity Planner.
